Charis is a district attorney, and his wife Liana is a dancer in a night club. Liana finds out that her husband has cancer, but she hides it from him for obvious reasons. An old friend of her husband, Ntora, who was in love with him and in whose house the couple lives, accuses Liana of infidelity, presenting as evidence a photo of her with the doctor. Charis sends her away without a second thought. In a car accident, however, Liana, seizes the opportunity to switch identities with that of the deceased woman and so completely disappears from Charis' life in order to survive on her own. A promising civil engineer, Stelios, delays his marriage to his beloved Anna because he wants to marry off his sisters first. Young Giannis escapes from prison and hides in a deserted factory, with the dream of traveling far away. At the factory, a group of university students rehearse Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream, and a girl from the group discovers him. The students accept him into their group, offering him a part in the play as well. One night, three young men try to destroy the props for the theatrical performance, and Giannis tries to stop them, ending up back in prison. The students manage to get him out of jail, and he embarks on a ship and leaves far away.
