Kiumars Pourahmad (Persian: کیومرث پوراحمد; December 16, 1949 – April 5, 2023) was an Iranian film director, screenwriter, film editor, film producer and novelist. Pourahmad started his career as a film critic and assistant director in a TV series in early 1970s. He made his directorial debut, Tatureh in 1983 after making some short films. Based on the novel "My Sweet Orange Tree" by José Mauro de Vasconcelos. Majid lives with his mother in his bad-tempered stepfather's house. He gets on Javad's lorry secretly but the trucker scolds and beats him. Hating Javad, Majid promises to kill him. He goes to a trainer to get ready and confides in a tree. Javad realises Majid's emotional needs and they form a deep friendship after a while.

Hamed is unemployed. Meanwhile, his wife and daughter immigrate to Europe for a better future. Missing his family, he imprisons himself and starts to revise his life in isolation.

Majid who is working in a bakery, sends his poem to be published in a journal. He always dreams of becoming famous. Majid finds some pages of the book "Les Miserables" and becomes interested in reading it, but he has no access to it. He picks a book from the library of his brother-in-law and tries to change it with the book "Les Miserables" in the public library. He is not aware of the cheque of his brother-in-law between some pages of the book. This is a starting point for some other adventures which put Majid into trouble.
