A noble prostitute is found dead in the toilet of a trendy club. Actually a normal case for Chief Inspector Lukas Laim - he would not know this woman intimately. In addition, the case gets an unexpected twist: Laim and his assistant Tim Berners encounter in the customer file of the victim on the top managers of a pharmaceutical company. Suddenly the sexual offense becomes a serious case of white-collar crime.

Chief Inspector Johannes Fischer has retired in the meantime. The last case he investigated together with his former boss Konstanze Satorius has been closed, but Fischer is still convinced that an innocent woman is in custody.

Stefan Gabriel is an active father always looking at life positively. While he tries to give back to society, his daughters Jessica (12) and Sabrina (15) struggle with their own problems. Nurse Agnes, on the other hand, is always eager to do the right thing and to meet everyone's expectations of her, which is not always easy. When the two of them accidentally meet one day, odds are they won't get along. But they quickly feel attracted to one another, despite their enormous differences.

At a time when everything is interrelated, the sum of the parts can add up to a catastrophic whole. Places don't matter anymore, it can happen anywhere and on November 11th it hits a luxury hotel on the coast, in the pretty holy pond. The story is like an unpredictable sum of parts that make a fatal mixture. And since everything is interrelated, none of the characters can claim that they were not to blame for the catastrophe.

Three women, one family: Monika the mother, Angie the older sister and Kiki the baby of the family. Angie is a reality-TV star who is doggedly clinging onto her fading career. Fresh out of rehab, she suddenly finds herself without any money, friends or a place to live and is condemned to returning to her mother in her hated dump of a hometown. Angie's teenage sister Kiki is also finding life tough-going. Due to her epilepsy, her mother Monika insists that she wears a freaky protective helmet. The consequence: Kiki is ostracised and bullied, her life has long since become the hell from which her mother is trying to protect her.

It's been five years Martin's family vanished without a trace from a cruise ship. Ever since, the police psychologist is tortured by the thought of his wife having committed a murder-suicide, taking their son with her. He is the only one not willing to believe this. Suddenly, a new lead takes him back aboard the very same luxury cruiser, where once again, a mother and her child have vanished. But this time, the girl reappears - holding a teddy bear that used to belong to Martin's son. Martin soon learns that things are handled differently on the open sea. Not to disturb his passengers' enjoyment of the lavish luxuries of their cruise, the rich owner of the cruiser wants to keep the child out of sight and hides her deep under deck in the quarantine bay. Here, Martin tries to get the traumatized girl to talk to him. But even deeper in the dark underbelly of the ship there is something lurking. And all signs point to a serial killer, just waiting to strike again.
