Kenichi Okamoto was born on May 21, 1969 in Tokyo, Japan. He is an actor, known for Rock yo shizukani nagareyo (1988), Onna ga ichiban niau shokugyo (1990) and Aitsu (1991). He was previously married to Yoshie Nishi.
Set in a (fictional) student dormitory at Tokyo Metropolitan University, which is in danger of being closed down, the film depicts the emotional exchange between students struggling to keep the dormitory alive and a prefect sent in by the university. Inspired by the movement to preserve the Komaba Dormitory at the University of Tokyo, the story differs greatly from historical fact.

Home-design sales representative Tomohiro lives with his wife and their son. As his job involves houses, it is his motto to take great care of the family who live in the house. However, he has been working so hard that he has forgotten to cherish his own family. When he looks after a client who wants to leave her father-in-law in a nursing home, it reminds him of his grandmother whom he loved so much. Father's death, grandmother's struggle with disease, and home care - those were grueling times, but the memories have become invaluable for Tomohiro. He realizes his family is the most precious thing of all. On a day off, he and his family decide to visit his mother who lives alone in their old hometown.
This special takes place three years after the end of the original series. Makoto is homeless as a result of his mom selling out their shop and soon becomes involved in a ‘bone smasher’ case, in which someone puts homeless people to sleep and breaks their bones.
