After getting laid-off, a businessman accepts his boss' offer of a week at his gorgeous country estate. On a whim, the businessman asks a casual acquaintance (at whom he frequently waves while en route to work) to join him.

The last thing Eddie Mills wants to do is go home to deal with his dying Dad. But the Catholic guilt gnaws at him, and he returns home to his crazy family, an overbearing step-mother, and his bear of a father. An elite group of vice cops are fired from the L.A.P.D. for being over-zealous in their war against drugs. It is immediately apparent that some of their superiors are involved in the drug ring. Banded together, four of the banned cops (which quickly becomes three when one is killed early) band together to fight the drug ring undercover.
