Kodrat feels the loss after his friend, Solikhin, is shot dead by the police. They both come from poverty and are brought up in an orphanage. In return, they always donate the money they earn from their crimes to the orphanage. Kodrat wants revenge but his boss gives him an order to execute Solikhin’s girlfriend, Susy. He is not willing to do it. Instead, he brings Susy to the police, and goes to the orphanage to give away everything he owns. Mustakin, the patron of the orphanage, reveals Kodrat’s identity. He also tells Kodrat that the person who shot Solikhin is Sofyan, a friend from the orphanage. The bloody climax is inevitable, and the patron who tries to intervene becomes a victim.

Bram Bahrumsyah, a career diplomat, has a wife, Marsya, a successful interior designer. Marsya’s higher financial success makes Bram depressed. Even though he has a good career, he is financially dependent on Marsya. But Marsya’s business ambition is merely to help her husband’s career. In this state of mind, Bram meets Romina who is also in a similar state of depression. Both of them have an affair.

Bagus Pribadi comes from Surabaya to conquer Jakarta with his strength. He meets Ratih, a widow who remains in the shadow of her ex-husband, Sujono. Sujono, cannot accept the fact that his ex-wife has fallen in love with another man. Hence Bagus must deal with one fight after another. Ratih’s brother, Sunarto, who owes Sujono a favour, also participates in blocking Bagus’ action. In the end, Bagus is forced to confront Sujono, and he succeeds.

Tjoet Nja' Dhien, the widow of a rebel leader operating in Aceh in Sumatra, assumes the leadership when her husband Teuku Uma is killed in an ambush. Dhien's charismatic presence and power of survival motivate the locals to join and later continue their opposition to the Dutch. Despite personal obstacles, she remained in the thick of the struggle for ten years.
