"I am from Austria" is a jukebox musical consisting of the songs by the Austrian songwriter Rainhard Fendrich. The musical premiered in September 2017 in Raimund Theater in Vienna. The plot circles around Emma Carter, a Hollywood star with Austrian roots, who who returns to her native country for the Vienna Opera Ball and to promote her new movie.

Alma is sexually harassed by a friend in a club. At first she wants to forget all about it quickly and dismisses it as a drunken slip of the tongue. But the experience sends her into a downward spiral that she can't seem to get out of - until she has to.

Kati is deaf. Florian is blind. But when they meet, a language beyond words and glances emerges—a language of closeness. Their love seems impossible to outsiders, and that is precisely why it is so overwhelming. It is not silence or darkness that stands between them, but the effort to truly understand each other—and the courage to withstand everything again and again. An intense journey full of ups and downs takes its course: two people who live and love with all their senses.
