Folk comedy with Osvald Helmuth in a brilliant role as the butcher Mortensen, who wins a fortune at the roulette table and engages a baron to train him in the role of a consummate gentleman. It gives him, he thinks, a chance to conquer the seamstress in his life. As top-trimmed as you can make butcher Helmuth, the trio, together with the baron's sister, go to the castle meeting with the aristocracy. It will be a tough test, and it is a shame to say that the butcher passes the exam - on the other hand, he gains the experience that lies in recognizing: Money is not everything - it is the innermost that counts.
A young, famous crime writer writes under the name Jess Clarck but is actually called Sven Hansen. He is married to a lovely woman who, in her warm, luxurious life, does not understand that her husband draws inspiration for his exciting books by diving in and mingling with the dregs of society. Jess Clarck and his wife have returned home to Denmark, and Clarck wants to write a crime novel for the first time, set in Copenhagen, but how will he find an environment in peaceful Denmark?
Ms. Møller is a cashier in a large piano store and will soon be celebrating her 25th anniversary. She wants to help the sweet young Grete Holm in the packing room. In order for the poor and orphaned Grete to meet a rich young man, Ms. Møller invites her on a skiing holiday in Sweden. Grete finds herself a ski instructor, and it all goes wrong when Ms. Møller has all her savings stolen and is also accused by the piano company's director of having taken the cash herself. However, she manages to expose the real thief, and Grete's ski instructor turns out to be an engineer with his own company.
Julia works as a cashier at a piano factory in Stockholm. She and a couple friend go on a ski vacation to northern Sweden, while her boss at the piano factory notices there a money missing in cash register. He suspects Julia who have to prove her innocence.
One evening, two young people, the painter Peter Sommer and the sweet, young courtesan Vera Holm, get to know each other in a very dramatic way. He meets her outside the property where he has his studio, and when she pretends to have an errand there, he willingly lets her in. When Vera suddenly pulls a revolver and shoots a stranger, and Peter in the heat of the fight receives a stab wound, there is a great commotion in the property, and an explanation is demanded.
