A group theater ensemble film about a doctor who wants to help a group of refugees in Finland.
An elderly man, long stranded on a deserted island, dreams of a former love. He writes messages in bottles and sends them across the sea. One evening, a knock echoes through his solitary hut.
During one spring day, nine people dreaming of life or running away from it, plus a dog on the run, either meet, pass or collide on a certain road. Sisters Seija and Sanna are on their way to the airport because Seija is moving to Canada. Silja and Ville are mourning the anniversary of their dead daughter. The comedy duo is off on a tour after a long break, the paramedics are looking forward to a quiz night and Anita is finally ready to scatter the ashes of her deceased loved one in the lake. A strange man hitchhikes along the highway.
Maya and Renata are childhood friends that haven't seen each other for 10 years, but a coincidental meeting leads them to going out into the country together and visit their old school with their boyfriends.
A Seat with a View is a film that takes us on a journey with three children sitting as passengers on a bicycle. It is a depiction of those mythical moments experienced along the way: what is seen and what thoughts arise when one is “on board”.
