Set towards the end of World War II, Nomura (Masatoshi Nagase) is a writer who is in despair. A woman works in bar and is a former prostitute. Many years ago, her father sold her to a brothel due to the family's severe financial hardships. The writer and the woman then agree to live as husband and wife until the war ends. The woman doesn't feel sexual pleasures due to her past, while the man lusts for the woman's body. Meanwhile, Ohira (Jun Murakami) fought for Japan in China. He participated in unconscionable acts against civilians in the name of war. He returns to Japan with only one arm. Ohira then begins to prey on innocent women.

Tatsuya Kawakami's mother becomes a member of a religious group after her husband commits suicide, and makes a large donation to the organization. Her three children are forced to live in poverty, and her eldest son, who is blind in one eye due to illness, takes his own life. Kawakami comes to believe that the religious group has ruined his life, so he creates a homemade gun and carries out an assassination plot against former prime minister Shinzo Abe, who has close ties to the religious group, which has been accused of siphoning off money from its members.
In this omnibus movie of four stories about teenagers there is a boy who lives next to a university women's dormitory and he checks them out constantly. He finds out about their relationship with men. He decides to forget about them and decides to date a class-mate. Next three boys want to rent a adult video, but cannot due to their age. Instead they make their own. They meet a girl who is a video store clerk. They fall in love. She also happens to be an actress. Next is a boy in a band who cannot play well as his mind is on a girl who is relocating. The said girl has a man on her mind too. In the fourth story, the world is upside down and the students teach their instructors.
In May 2015, a group of students from Tokyo, ranging in age from 16 to 23, head to a farmhouse in Sukagawa, Fukushima Prefecture. They were met by Kazuya Tarukawa, a farmer, and his mother, Mitsuyo. Kazuya's father took his own life immediately after the nuclear accident, saying that he may have encouraged his son, who had taken over the farming business, down the wrong path. Kazuya struggles as a farmer and the students who listen to him talk about the reality of crops in Fukushima four years after the disaster and the absurdity of TEPCO's compensation system, as well as his determination to carry on farming on his ancestral land.
