Marianne, a woman from a wealthy social background, finds herself living at a campsite. There she meets Stacy, a little girl who is often left to her own devices. Marianne falls in love at first sight with the little girl, whom she quickly comes to regard as her own child.

Five young people gather around a fire to warm themselves during their camping trip. In order to decide who will pitch one of the tents, they start a game that takes an increasingly disturbing turn.
