Jose is an elderly rebel who, after being refused a withdrawal at a bank, returns with a gun and threatens to shoot himself if he doesn't get his cash. Pedro, a young teller, is disillusioned with his life and sees Jose's stunt as a way out when he pretends to be taken hostage, leaving the bank with the old man and a hefty amount of money. The unlikely duo become friends, picking up tough-girl Ana along the way, while avoiding the police.

Based on the autobiographical work of New Zealand writer Janet Frame, this production depicts the author at various stage of her life. Afflicted with mental and emotional issues, Frame grows up in an impoverished family and experiences numerous tragedies while still in her youth, including the deaths of two of her siblings. Portrayed as an adult by Kerry Fox, Frame finds acclaim for her writing while still in a mental institution, and her success helps her move on with her life.

After a heart transplant, Manuel feels a personality shift and explores his donor's life, leading him to meet the widowed Vale and her community.

The album and film were recorded in 2009, while the third season of the telenovela "Casi Ángeles" was being presented at the Gran Rex Theater in Buenos Aires. It features performances by its stars, Emilia Attias and Mariano Torre, and several cast members, such as Lali Esposito and Peter Lanzani, including the bands Teenangels and MAN!, who are gaining more prominence this year.
