This brutally honest comedy depicts the Jewish-Italian wedding reception of Lisa Weinstein (Deborah Gibson), as guests can't help but notice the romantic sparks among Lisa, the groom (Joey Scherr), the maid of honor (Mo Gaffney) and the bride's ex-boyfriend, the reception band leader (Martin Guigui). Meanwhile, various guests on both sides of the aisle pursue their own love interests at the event. Dom DeLuise co-stars.

Marco Poloni's family owns a bakery in the Bronx and it seems that they have fallen on hard times and his family is considering selling the bakery. Marco then decides to enter a baking competition hoping that the money and publicity will help them. Isaac Seidel is a highly unconventional New York police-commissioner. He is well-abled in dealing with trouble at the headquarter, the maffia and situations in the streets. His loyalty to his profession and the city he so loves make him do the utmost to solve the problems, even if it means he has to bend the rules.

The Chicago Mafia murders one of the bosses named Frank Martel, who had started working for the police.

Johnny Boy, a psychotic young Chicago playwright, drives to New York to run down a phantom deal. Along for the ride are a drug dealing buddy named Aristotle and Johnny Boy's self-destructive sometimes girlfriend Anita. They hit the road and the road hits back. The drug-fueled all night drive devolves into sadistic mind games, sex games and finally violence. They don't all make it back to Chicago, but they all reach the end of the road.
