A teen hacker seeking revenge for his father's murder becomes a pawn in a plot to derail the 2016 presidential elections.

Ramona cares for a wealthy Argentine family in the US: a sick young girl named Cindy and her pregnant mother. On the day of the mother’s baby shower, Cindy’s jealousy toward her unborn baby brother reaches new heights. In an effort to mitigate the child’s envy, Ramona tells Cindy a cautionary tale from her childhood. But when Cindy’s jealousy escalates, Ramona’s premonitions begin to intensify in parallel, reviving ghosts from her past and testing her love for the child.

Adrián is locating himself in the city when he finds out about the death of his friend Francisco. In the town where they grew up together, nothing seems to have changed, especially the friendship with El Chino and Gustavo. They work for the local mobster, but Rafael also left and returns as a beautiful transvestite.

We follow two somewhat successful actresses who leave Colombia and travel to New York, aiming for greater fame and opportunity and a better life for themselves and a daughter, only to receive a rude awakening: they are only seen as immigrants now. Colombian director Daniel Arango, who lives in New York, clearly knows whereof he films, as do his leading actresses, Jennifer Arenas and Josefina Scaro, the latter of whom returns to MIFF after being here recently with the well-loved film American Thief.
