A cartoonist in the midst of a crisis uses a publishing house to look for work. The drawings of this one are not to the liking of the head of the publishing house which triggers a series of ungrateful events that they must try to solve.
The story of Manolo, an old-fashioned tobacconist who misses Franco's Spain and secretly loves fantasy films. His only son Miguel gets involved in drug traffic to get some quick money for his mother Carolina, who suffers from Alzheimer's. When Miguel is kidnapped by the drug dealers, Manolo and Carolina must go through the streets of the city, armed with a shotgun, looking for him. But Manolo has accidentally eaten an omelette stuffed with all kind of hallucinogenic drugs, so their quest will be a real trip.
