Joice Erna (born September 27th, 1955) is an Indonesian actress, active in the 80s. She is famous for the Suci Sang Primadona (1977) in which she acted alongside actor Rano Karno, which netted her a Best Actress award at the Indonesian Film Festival in 1978.

After her graduation as a doctor, Siti Pertiwi is sent to the Menggala area in Lampung. She has to deal with many problems, such as the corrupt paramedics who assist her and the villagers’ fear of the shaman – Atuk Raja – and his men. These problems have complicated her role as the local doctor. Then she receives help from a student who interns in the area. Unfortunately, the assistance invites gossip.
Basically a courtroom drama, Sumi is arrested and brought for a trial after her husband, Aditya’s penis is stabbed and he is rendered dysfunctional. Sumi is suffering in her marriage because of her husband's illness. She doesn’t leave him for the sake of her children. However, when she finds that her husband is having an affair with Lena, she loses her patience. She plans to kill her husband while he is sleeping, but the plan fails. Instead of actually killing him, she accidentally stabs him in the penis. At the end of the trial, their second baby dies, and it creates a lifetime of regret.

Basically, a courtroom drama, the marriage of Wisnu and Shinta starts having problems when Shinta becomes disabled. Dian, the caregiver they hire, turns out to be an ex-lover of Wisnu and she wants him back, enough to want to kill Shinta. Instead, Dian is the one killed and the scissor that Dian was planning to use ends up in Shinta’s hands. Through the court proceeding, Shinta’s innocence is proven.

Tina a kindergarten teacher from a poor family is persuaded to be a prostitute in Jakarta, after being trapped by a women-trafficking syndicate. Meanwhile, her rich boyfriend, Anwar, is truly in love with her, but makes a mistake when he gives her up to a man whom he thinks loves her deeply. This causes Wamena a heart attack, which kills him. Narita is also against her father’s relationship with Yuni, so she storms out and leaves. Then Arman marries Narita and becomes the director of the company. Yuni and Toni resign from the company. Then Yuni tries to trick Arman by sending a pretty woman to seduce him and then takes a photo of them together. With this photo, she manages to trap Arman.

Narsih covets Gondo’s, the rubber plantation owner, wealth, so she gets the help of a shaman. Gondo’s wife, Sundari, is hexed. Her face is deformed and soon she is abandoned by her husband. Narsih is able to marry Gondo but has not managed to get rid of her husband and his daughter, Ratri, yet. Sundari becomes a disciple of another shaman. She seeks revenge by killing Narsih and the others.
Jealous Rudy spoils the wedding party of Hindun by using black magic to kill both her new husband and her father. Hindun seeks help from a Santet (black magic) Queen. Due to the Santet Queen’s influence, Hindun becomes possessed and goes on a vengeance-fueled killing spree.
