Directing
Joanna Rytel graduated in 2004 from the University College of Arts, Craftsand Design in Stockholm. She has developed a complex artistry, which always points out our time's most poignant issues of gender, power and identity. She approaches these issues with great integrity, putting the personal at stake, making her form of address accessible to those outside the usual art and film worlds. Some of the controversial topics she explores are honor, racism, feminism, relationships between animals and people, taboos and sexuality in the public sphere, abortion and porn.

Secretly she is filming everything. In a surreal apartment a cougar, a guest, a child and promises of a dog if the child plays along.
A documentary about a fixation to become pregnant by an infertile man and comparing certain aspects to the gestation of a seal.

The dancer who almost vanished from history — brought back in a storm of dreams and rebellion. Lucia Joyce, the brilliant but forgotten daughter of James Joyce, moves through a world that refuses to let her be free. Lucia Joyce & Flappers is not a simple retelling of her life — it’s a radical resurrection. In a hypnotic blend of memory, fantasy, and historical imagination, Małga Kubiak reclaims Lucia’s voice, her body, and her fierce, uncontainable spirit.

Includes 12 shorts directed by young female artists, directors and feminists to create "12 propositions to rethink pornography".

Everyone has plans A, B, C and D. My plan is to turn all my plans into reality at the same time. How else do you get pregnant with an infertile guy?

A girl travels around. And she is me. She sleeps around. Finally she finds two guys who are friends. Two cocks in her little feminist hands, so fucking luxurious. The film breaks conventions and norms and questions the patriarchal rules. The film deals with gender codes and their subversion. It tackles taboos about how to be more forward as a girl and what is generally accepted as ”allowed”. But above all it’s about honour among male friends.
