Biography
Writer, producer and director Jerry Rapp has been working professionally in the industry since attending the USC School of Cinematic Arts, with an emphasis on screenwriting. Rapp's first screenplay was acquired by Imagine Entertainment and has led to additional script sales with Paramount, Universal, MGM, HBO and many others. Rapp has worked on television projects with HBO, Showtime, New Line TV, USA Network and PBS. He has directed and produced a number of short and feature films which have played in many festivals, including the R&H Educational Film Series for Hypnotic/Universal. His other work includes films Sand Trap, Moving Alan and Mojave Phone Booth - which has shown in several international and domestic festivals and was distributed worldwide. Recent work includes the features Gutshot Straight and the upcoming thriller, Looking Glass.

Mojave Phone Booth
In the middle of the Mojave desert rests an abandoned phone booth, riddled with bullet holes, graffiti, its windows broken, but otherwise functioning. Its identity was born on the Internet and for years, travelers would make the trek down a lonely dirt road and camp next to the booth, in the hopes that it might suddenly ring, and they could connect with a stranger (often from another country) on the other end of the line. This is the story of four disparate people whose lives intersect with this mystical outpost, and the comfort they seek from a stranger's voice: There is Beth, a troubled woman facing dilemmas with her love-life and a recurring, baffling crime; Mary, a young South African, who is contemplating selling her body for the funds to escape her dreadful existence; Alex, a woman who is losing her lover, Glory, to the belief she is plagued by aliens, and Richard, driven into desperation by a separation from his wife, who happens upon the booth after his failed suicide attempt.

The Dogwalker

She's helped along in that process by Betsy Wright, a misanthropic dog-walker in need of help with her business and struggling with her own dark past.

Moving Alan
The story follows the two sisters Melissa and Emily, the former who accidentally killed her husband Alan and the latter who agrees to help her bury her husband in the desert. While there, they encounter a trucker who hates his dogs and takes a special dislike to the sisters, a Park Ranger who takes a shine to Melissa and finally a strange, homeless man who thinks he is in a soap opera. While Melissa and Emily try their best to find a suitable place to bury Alan, much of their history is revealed and the day in the desert has a great impact on their lives.

Sand Trap
After falling victim to a burglar, Nelson, a wealthy businessman, takes a trip to the desert with his wife Margo and lawyer/friend Jack. The trip takes an unexpected turn when Jack helps Nelson over a cliff. Jack and Margo return to the site with the sheriff only to discover Nelson's body is missing, indicating he is still alive. As Nelson struggles to survive against madness and the elements, two separate searches for him are conducted--one by an increasingly suspicious sheriff and the other by the treacherous Margo and Jack.
