The film is a visual poem shot in the Anza-Borrego Desert. The work portrays the odyssey of a woman/goddess/mankind from birth into innocence, through growth into pride and sin, to death, and then a transcendental reunion to the One.
Tom is a renowned author who is about to suffocate from the shame of not having written a new, good book for over 20 years. But then he meets Renee, a young female admirer who gives him a renewed lust for life. Soon, they move together and settle on the country, away from both Tom's ex-wife and his demanding editor. But life in the countryside does not only offer tranquility for the couple in love. Some local people begin to harass the two with a threatening behavior, and their lives are soon turned into a nightmare ...
Dad's outdoor skills are put to the test when the family goes on a weekend trip to Sweden. The family is visiting Annika, Dad's cousin, whose birthday coincides with this year's midsummer festival. Annika has a nature park, and Dad is looking forward to showing the children where he used to play as a boy. Uncle Anders seizes the opportunity, puts on his old scout shirt, and finds his compass.
Dad loses his job and now the family is in the need for money. Mie and Ole is working on a talent show at their school. Little Per tries to help the family.
When somebody swipes Father's wallet, which contains the office pool's winning sports lottery ticket, Uncle Anders and Per set out to catch the thief.
