A petrol pump is run by a permanent team: the manager Vávra, a former civil engineer ing. Stejskal, a smug crook named Karafa, and an old man, Dvořák, who is about to retire. They have a well-developed system that allows them to divert part of the profits into their own pockets. The only one who wants nothing to do with the crooked business is old Dvorak, who one day will find another job. Into this situation comes a young man, Zdeněk Černý, as a new employee. He's inquisitive and works quickly. He also understands the profit-sharing system. He soon inspires confidence in Vávra and the others, but soon starts to assert his right to an equal share of the profits...

The comedy tells the story of a lonely mother of a small, naughty and immediate son who sometimes unwittingly does some mischief. Not for nothing does the mom say that in a family where they have such a boy, they would need a belt. The perceptive Petřík does not hesitate and goes to buy her a belt as a present at the department store. On this occasion, he invites the elderly nice saleswoman to their home, because their grandmother has already died and their father is gone too. In the shop, she meets a purse snatcher who tricks the boy for his address. On Christmas Eve, the mother is surprised not only by unexpected visitors at home, but also by a sympathetic young policeman who has accompanied her son home...

A story about a life of a group of children in the foster home.

Emigrants rarely do well abroad, which is why they often return to their homeland. At least, that's what the film The Poachers claims. But the long years of separation and different experiences create alienation, and the returnees lose touch with their loved ones. This is exactly what happens to the main character, who cannot understand the changes that the Czech village has undergone. Neither with his son nor with his wife can he find common ground. Although the director Hynek Bočan relies on expressive portrayal, the basic problem of the story remains its lifelessness.

Roman Hlava grew up with his diplomat parents in Latin America where he had been home-schooled by his over doting mother. The over indulgence of affection and praise has given the boy an over confidence. This is quickly squashed by his new peers when the family returns to the Czech Republic. This leads to neurotic tics and the nickname Mrkácek the 'Blinker.' Lucifer, who is known to rule in hell, sends out the devil Janek. He is supposed to fetch Dorota because the measure of her earthly sins is overflowing. But the devil himself can not handle this evil woman and flees to the military. There he meets Peter. By joining forces, they finally succeed in transporting the wicked Dorota to hell. Since then hell is hell. But for Peter, who is suddenly in possession of a magic mantle, begins a nice time, because strangely, the prince shows great interest in him.
