The film delves into the motivation behind the killings, exposing their exceptional cruelty and an absolute absence of moral values. The perpetrators executed four people on their way to achieving material gain. Two of the bodies were found at the bottom of Orlík reservoir, the third perished in a bomb blast, and the forth was shot at home...

In 13th-century Bohemia, King Přemysl Otakar II sends his Bezděz castle steward Oldřich of Chlum north to broker a peace-marriage between the feuding Dubé and Vartemberk houses, only for him and his men to stumble on a murdered merchant’s trail. At the celebratory feast meant to seal the alliance, the Vartemberk castellan is killed and suspicion falls on a humble lutenist whose fiancée the victim had tried to violate, plunging Oldřich into a dangerous game of courtly intrigue.

The story of František Stára, a recovering alcoholic, concertmaster, and composer. After returning from alcohol rehabilitation, he quickly realizes that his euphoric determination to start over is a tragic illusion. His wife has moved out of their apartment and found another man. A similar fiasco awaits him at his former job and later during his short stint at an elementary art school. At the most difficult moment, when František's private hopes and professional plans are collapsing and he resigns, he is selflessly helped by his former fellow patient from the clinic, Eda Mandík. This man, himself weak, inconsistent, and irresponsible, with unexpected and self-destructive devotion, gives up his own personal happiness and energetically spurs his flagging will to save his only friend. The price Eda pays for this act is not small, but his sacrifice was meaningful.

Inspired by two fairy tales by Jan Drda, this film tells the story of young Matěj, who enjoys a good riddle. When he is chased off by a farmer for falling in love with his daughter Majdalenka, he sets off to the castle to see the princess, who presents her suitors with three riddles. But Matěj always escapes any pitfalls that he may encounter. (filmovyprehled)

Isabela, a retired woman, floods her drug-addicted neighbor's apartment with her washing machine. A repairman must be called. The handyman arrives at the apartment, which does not look like the home of a lonely senior citizen, but rather like a clinic for deranged individuals... Isabella's neighbor is unable to fulfill his late wife's last wish, the flooded junkie hates pensioners, refugees, and the government, and Isabella is visited by her offended husband, who has been dead for years and complicates her life and the repair of the washing machine... During this bizarre visit, the illusion of one happy marriage falls apart, one old misunderstanding is cleared up, and several others arise. The second half features the short film Barcarole, also produced by Divadlo Verze.

After flushing all of his "secret stashes" in the toilet, he finds out they are actually there to investigate the death of the girl upstairs, a close childhood friend of his and the family. He slowly retraces the past week that she has been lying dead in her flat and remembers that he asked her to "receive a package" unbeknownst to her from his drug dealer, Pexeso.

One day in the life of a young taxi driver. Prague taxi driver Jarda wants to celebrate his birthday. He has everything nicely planned and under control, just like everything else in his professional and private life. He gets along with everyone, takes care of everything, and everyone is happy with him. Jarda simply "knows his way around." He has a wonderful wife, a beautiful apartment, a relaxed job, a new lover, and lots of good friends, but then a man gets into his new taxi, a man whom fate has also presented with a series of unexpected and complicated situations and fundamental decisions that day. And so, in their unexpected companionship and day-long journey, a number of relationships and values are transformed for both of them.

Ofka has fallen into a strange lethargy: while most of her high school classmates continue their studies, she refuses to leave the deceptive comfort of childhood, which is quickly turning into a stifling trap. She works in her brother-in-law Eda's 24-hour shop and lets the fragments of wasted lives of regular and random customers, as well as those of her old friends who, like her, only really live at night, flit around her. Sometimes she drops in on a group drinking in the Vltava harbor, wanders the streets with the eccentric Ubre, who is fascinated by fishing discarded items out of trash cans and hopelessly in love with her, and avoids Míra, who, on the contrary, has stopped loving her. However, it is becoming increasingly clear to her that one day she will have to say goodbye to her childhood, cross the borders of her native neighborhood, and start doing something with her life...
