As a seasoned actor with over 35 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Jake Macapagal has had the privilege of taking on numerous lead roles in both stage and film productions. One of his career highlights was his BAFTA-nominated critically acclaimed film, Metro Manila, which went on to win several awards including the World Cinema Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival and Best British Independent Film Award at the BIFAs. For his outstanding portrayal of Oscar, Jake was even nominated for the Most Promising Newcomer award by BIFA. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to work on a range of exciting projects, such as HBO Asia's Halfworlds, Ben Rekhi's Watch List, and the highly anticipated Paramount+ original U.K. drama series, No Escape. Despite these accomplishments, Jake remains grounded and continues to work hard to hone his craft and bring his best to every project he takes on.
