This was broadcast on Brazilian TV & radio. Matt & Dizzy's first show with the band. GN'R's first full show in nearly a year and a half and there's over 140,000 people in attendance! Axl says it is his first rehearsal in 2 years. Axl says that 'Patience' was mainly "pained" by Izzy Stradlin. Before 'Estranged,' Axl says "this will be the first time I've sang it in a happy mood."

09.13.86 - Music Machine, Los Angeles, CA on the same bill with: The Unforgiven, Attack set: Welcome To The Jungle, Think About You, Mr. Brownstone, Rocket Queen, Nightrain, My Michelle, Sweet Child O' Mine, Paradise City, Mama Kin, Nice Boys notes: Axl dedicates 'Nightrain' to Dizzy and his hand. This could be Dizzy Reed, who joined the band in 1990 and was a friend in the club days.

Filmed at the legendary Ritz in 1991, this concert was one of three rehearsal “club” dates for the tour that would ultimately divide the band, and it took place at the 1,400-person-or-so-capacity Ritz. Rose tells the crowd he doesn’t like showing up to rehearsals (shocker) so this was his warmup, but he nevertheless delivers an impressive, throat-shredding performance throughout, even after injuring a leg mid-gig. He even sounds like he’s having fun. He does the Cool Hand Luke “failure to communicate” monologue himself in “Civil War,” which also features Slash riffing on Hendrix’s “Voodoo Child (Slight Return).”
