The story of the first months of the Russian invasion of Ukraine through the eyes of a volunteer from Kamianets-Podilskyi and a female volunteer who ended up in occupied Mariupol.
Shchedryk - the melody that recognized all over the world from the first notes. It glorifies Ukraine abroad. It is played in movies and broadcasts are made about it. Today we proudly announce that the famous song Carol of the Bells is an interpretation of our famous Shchedryk. However, until recently, few people knew that the Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovich wrote music on the words of the Kolyadka, which are the oldest examples of Ukrainian folklore, which, according to the artists, came from the Podillya. However, this melody has a special connection with Podillya for a number of other reasons.
Returning wounded from the war Maksym was overcome by self-doubt, in his physiological state. He is undergoing rehabilitation. He loses contact with his wife. He is tormented by dreams. In one of his dreams Maksym goes to the island to catch a lot of fish, as the paramedic advised him. Maksym takes a boat, net, dynamite from the best man and sails to the island.
The story is about a group of activists who started the movement for the Independence of Ukraine in Kamianets-Podilskyi in the late 1980s.
During the Day of Kamianets-Podilsky, a delegation of the Council of Europe visited the city. In the center of the plot is a hero who came to work on his first day of internship. During the solemn session of the City Council, the session hall and the entire administrative building are seized by a group of terrorists, and among the hostages is the protagonist's sister, who works here as a assistant of the mayor. The hero decides to take control of the situation and rescue the hostages, based on his previous experience of service in the VIII Khmelnytsky Special Purpose Battalion.
