Mzia’s classmates have decided to stay in their village and work at the Sovkhoz after graduation. But Mzia’s mother wants her to go to Tbilisi to become a student.

After finishing school, three friends go to Chiatura for work. Two of them start working in a black stone mine, and the third, Bondo, works as a driver in a lumber yard. Friends' paths divide here. With the advice of the warehouse manager, Bondo gets used to easy income and does not shy away from dark affairs.

Based on the autobiographical book "Ya -sam" (I-myself) by Vladimir Mayakovsky the leading Russian Futurist poet of the beginning of the 20th century. He was born in 1893, into a Russian Cossack family in the Transcaucasian kingdom of Georgia, then part of Russian Empire. There he spent his childhood and boyhood attending a grammar school in Kutaisi. Mayakovsky moved to Moscow at the age of 14, after his father's death. He became a poet, an artist, an actor, a writer/director and public speaker.

The film tells the story of a country rebuilding itself after World War II. In a lively socialist competition between two collective farms, two lovers, Bidzina and Eteri, are actively involved. Bidzina has brought home the son of a fallen comrade from the front, whom Eteri mistakenly believes to be Bidzina's child. This temporary misunderstanding leads to a series of comedic situations.

Famous mountaineers Simon and Alexandra Lomidze were tragically caught in an avalanche while climbing Tetnuldi. The avalanche swept Simon and his friend into the abyss, leaving Simon’s younger brother, Alyosha, deeply inspired by the diary entries of his deceased brother. Alyosha, who had never been particularly fond of mountaineering, was determined to conquer Tetnuldi in his brother’s memory. This inspired a series of expeditions to conquer other peaks, including Ushba, Shkheldi, and many more. The following mountaineers participated in these expeditions: M. Anuprikov, I. Arkin, G. Akhvlediani, G. Gulbani, G. Deberli, P. Khazarov, I. Lapshenikov, I. Nemsitsveridze, V. Mukhin, and G. Khutsishvili.

The film depicts the life of a Georgian village after the Second World War. Kesou Mirba, appointed as a brigadier in Saken, wants to get a bountiful harvest of corn on the scarce land of the highland village, he is sure that valuable mineral fertilizer will be found there. Kesou's plans are opposed by farmers who do not want to change their old way of life. One of them will replace the soil samples to be sent to the laboratory.

A young, funny, lovely, kind girl from country-side is named Marine but she is nicknamed as Chrichina (Dragonfly). She is very popular in her village because of her happy-go-lucky temperament and singing songs. She lost a chance to study at University, fell in love with handsome, intelligent architect from the city. She must prove to everyone that she is useful for something, and not only for singing "aba deli dela..." every day. Everyone realizes that they are not very suitable for each other, but the young architect can't get her out of his head.
