In the early 1800s, the inhabitants of a puritanical Tennessee farming village are plagued by mysterious disappearances that coincide with every full moon. The superstitious town folk are quick to suspect the newest resident, Christy, a young school teacher from New York. When Christy is invited to the home of a troubled student, suspicions turn to accusations - and accusations lead to a dark supernatural revelation that will shake the town to its core.

In a not so distant dystopian future, a young couples goes to Texas and gets pregnant. They are now unable to leave the state.
