The action takes place in St. Mary's Square and Oleandry. The essential scenes were shot on the St. Mary's Tower and the scaffolding surrounding it - due to the renovation being carried out at the time. It was here that the first rapprochement between the lovers took place, and here - at a height of several dozen meters - the rivals fought a fight with tragic consequences, ending in the death of the seducer.
Pan Tadeusz (film 1928) is a Polish historical film directed by Ryszard Ordynski based on the national epic of Poland, an 1834 poem by Adam Mickiewicz.
