In the 1970s, Turku City Theater staged an adaptation of Aleksis Kivi's Seven Brothers, directed by Kalle Holmberg. The premiere was in 1972, and performances continued for three years. The play was the biggest theatrical event of its time and a huge success with audiences. The brothers were played by the stars of the decade, with music by Kaj Chydenius. The TV movie was recorded from two public performances and close-ups were edited in.

Two brothers from Häme discover that they are actually from Karelia. During the celebration of the newfound fact, one of the brothers is bitten by a bug. After seeking medical help from a doctor - who tries to tell the brothers that he is not a doctor of medicine - the doctor decides to trick the boys by convincing them that the insect in question is called Insectum propellatum, also known as the aviation bug, and unless the affected brother learns how to fly, the bite might turn fatal. During their shenanigans, they become acquainted with a robot that runs on booze, two scoundrels, and the beautiful Miss Universe!

The world has changed and the Covid-pandemic has affected everyone. Tommi and Jaana have been together for eight years. Niklas is an experienced and intense investigator, but his methods are eccentric. Niklas tries to find out everything Jaana does in her life, where she goes and who she meets. At the same time, Tommi struggles with his own suspicions and the question arises whether Jaana could be deceptive in a relationship after all, or whether Tommi is merely building a state of fear in his own mind.

A theater group is training for the play Lapualaisooppera. We see these young people hanging out and talking about what goes on around them. Also sexual matters are involved there and this girl, Tenu, becomes pregnant to Hessu.
