A naive young man, Mikes tries to solve its economic problems by marriage with a wealthy bride. After various matchmaking, find an equally naive but wealthy girl and the match ends in love. However, at the request of her father to marry her must first find the job himself. His efforts to restore business fail and decides to thieves with his beloved. Fortunately her father will give in and allow them to marry.
A mad man, Spyros, wants to marry Marianna, his lively sister. He wants to give her a dowry apartment, but his money is not enough for that. So he has to ask for a loan from his boss. The boss refuses to serve him but as soon as he knows Marianna, he changes his mind. Spyros tries to think of Marianna, who is smirked for his boss's mistress, but he only manages to lose his job. Minister Andreas Mavrogialouros (Labros Konstadaras) visits the village of his electoral district, Platanias for the inauguration of a maternity hospital. After an accident, he finds his voters' dissatisfaction and the scams of his partners. He, therefore, decides to step down from the government and bring order to his life, starting from his wife and his daughter.
When an open-hearted folk man, a butcher of the profession, buys an apartment to stay with his family in a block of flats in a lush neighborhood, the tenants are colluding in order to get him away. The only defenders are the concierge and a general who will think of a clever way to correct the situation.
Polyxeni becomes enraged when she finds her husband flirting with their maid. After dismissing the girl, she leaves her husband and goes to live at her parents' house. There, however, by chance, her former maid comes to work as a domestic helper. Polyxeni's father, brother, son-in-law, a naval officer, and two of his sailors fall in love with the maid, leading to misunderstandings and comical situations.

Set in the period between the two world wars in a seaside village in the bay of Amvrakikos. Two children, Petros (8 years old) and Anthoula (7 years old) spend their summer holidays. During a walk they discover in an isolated shack a boy who lives with his mother. He is rejected by the community because of tuberculosis. Petros and Anthoula become friends with the boy. They encounter the cruelty of the adults and they decide to resist.
