The story of a young Palestinian who left his refugee camp to become a resistance fighter in the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Ra'fat marries Souad against his family's wishes and they go to live in Syria. When Ra'fat dies, Souad works to support her daughter Sahar who wants to marry her neighbor Walid. Souad falls ill but hides it from her daughter whom she sends to live with her rich aunt, Dalwat, in Cairo.

A lonely Egyptian immigrant young man lives in a room in a building in Lebanon, barely keeps up with his daily expenses by selling of his fine art paintings, led by chance he gets to meet another Egyptian immigrant lady in a park. He then tries to exploit her physically as a means to break his loneliness, and when she refuses he suspects that she is pretending to keep her chastity and virtuosity, he then begins a long journey of doubting many of her actions and her words in an attempt to expose her true self.
A mamluk called Gaber, in order to take advantage of the rift between the Caliph of Baghdad and the prince he works for, volunteers to be a messenger for the prince. He also takes it as a chance to see his beloved Zomorod. Gaber suggests the prince write the message on his bald head, but when his hair grows the message disappears.
