A movie loosely based on a strike in the community of Sauda, Norway 2. June 1970. The strike lasted for five weeks, and was on the news almost every day.
A young girl becomes pregnant. She decides to get an abortion, and the viewers gets to observe her until the application for abortion is being processed.
A seemingly insignificant event occurs in the lives of a young couple, and then something happens to them, something significant in that they are driven into a new pattern of life, one that they are strangers to.
