Four veterans who fought together on the Plevna front during the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War lose their commander in Plevna during a raid. Years later, in 1915, they learn that their commander's nephew, Lieutenant Yusuf, has been taken prisoner in the Battle of Gallipoli. The four elderly men and a disabled young man embark on a prisoner rescue operation.
Seikilos, who lived in prehistoric times, decides to commit suicide and, before doing so, calls in craftsmen from Egypt to mummify himself and his beloved Euterpe, whom he has killed. Thousands of years later, a shepherd living in the Aegean region accidentally opens the tomb, and Seikilos unexpectedly comes back to life. When he opens his eyes and cannot find his eternal love in the tomb, Seikilos begins to search for her. During this time, his path crosses with Mustafa and Hatice, and an interesting adventure begins.
Yarim (The Half) is the story of two halves setting out to become a whole, of the efforts made by two children to play the existing male-female roles. Fidan is a 15-year-old shepherd girl who lives in poverty with her family in a village in eastern Turkey. Her father gives her as a bride to an unknown family.
