Future doctor Rebo, an innocent village boy with low self-esteem, has a dream of being bitten by a snake, a dream that means that he is about to get a mate. He suspects that his mate will be Erika, the youngest child of the wealthy, Sugiharto. Roy, his good friend, his wife Rini and her sister, Salindri, arrange a plan to match Rebo and Erika. They want Rebo to be known as Robby but advise him to wait for a while. He cannot wait so he approaches Erika as Rebo, Robby’s messenger. Sugiharto finds out about the act. But Erika, who is already matched with the son of her father’s colleague, runs away. Rebo also loses hope and returns to his village although he has graduated as the best student doctor. Roy, Rini and Salindri finally hatch a plan. Everyone is persuaded to attend the graduation, including Sugiharto. Every secret is revealed leading to a happy end.

This film tells the story of two friends, Jack and Jock, with their principle: "life is a series of games and challenges". The challenge is pretending to be a barber and to cut Alex’ hair (Alex is played by Darto Helm, who was a famous, bald comedian). Jack "plays" with the wife of Alex while Jock is “cutting” his hair. Jack, who gets a crush on Merry, succeeds to get acquainted with Merry through her aunt, by posing as a neurologist since Merry has a psychiatric disorder. Meanwhile, Jock gets acquainted with Lucy, a hotel maid.

Coincidentally, Sugeng and Slamet both have twin children and gave both sets of twins the same names, Dorce and Donny. Both sets of twins then go separately to Jakarta, while Rudi, son of Koco, is sent to pick up Sugeng’s twins, but instead, picks up Slamet’s children, who have arrived first. Then Sugeng’s twins also go to Koco’s house where they meet the other pair of twins to create confusion and silliness. Finally Sugeng and a talent seeker arrive and the misunderstanding is resolved.

Dewi and Dewo decide to elope, as Dewi’s parents only want her to marry a rich man. Listening to the advice of their servant, Doyok, Dewi writes a letter to her parents that she and her husband have become rich. When her parents want to visit, Dewi and Dewo panic. So, Kadir, a housekeeper in an empty luxurious house, helps them. He agrees to lend them the house for two days before the new occupant arrives. Then Kadir acts as the husband while Dewo plays the housekeeper and Doyok the security guard. Their act is revealed when the new renter arrives but is barred from entering. Meanwhile, Dewi’s father finds the certificate of the house ownership.

The story of the love of Doyok (Doyok) and Kadir (Kadir) for the sisters Rosa (Ayu Azhari) and Ira (Kiki Fatmala). The young women’s family does not approve of their relationships, so the two men try to figure out a way to get around this. This manipulation continues as Rosa and Ira join their parents for a family holiday in Puncak. Doyok and Kadir show up in Puncak posing as a rich man and his son who are looking for land to purchase. Dewi, who has many love problems with her boyfriends, falls into the arms of Dayan, her boss, who also has a problem after becoming a successful businessman. Being told by his doctor that he has only a few months left to live, he suddenly feels the emptiness at home. His wife, Anneke, has her own occupation. His two children are studying abroad, while the youngest rarely sleeps at home and eventually dies while playing Russian roulette. Dayan and Dewi find a mutual need to release the burden. The situation changes with the appearance of Ferico, an old school friend of Dewi, who continues to pursue her after his divorce. Both Dayan and Dewi finally return to their partners. Director Arifin chooses a “poetic” style of telling the story so that the storyline follows the internal conflicts of the characters. The poetry is also characterized by slick photography.

Kadir and Doyok open a coffee shop together. Kadir is a conservative person while Doyok is a womanizer so the former always tries to intervene in the latter’s affairs. Then, one of Doyok’s girls, Deasy, thinks that she is pregnant. Doyok panics and swears not to touch any girls within three months if she is proved not to be pregnant. But even before the three months are up, he goes out on a date with Anita. When Deasy is proved not to be pregnant, he finds a shaman to free him from the curse of his own vow. Kadir plays the shaman. So Doyok breaks up with Deasy and tries to get Anita. Later, they meet Betty, who does not want to be matched with Gigon,so she pretends to be a transgender man known as Benny. Secretly, Kadir knows who Benny is, and he falls for her. Finally, Kadir marries Benny aka Betty, and Doyok marries Anita.
