Five years after the events of "The Capital of the Dead", Lucas joins forces with the traumatized Denise. Together they attempt to keep their sanity while fighting off the undead in a world where zombies are not the most dangerous beings.

In 1883, the Italian priest Dom Bosco had a premonition that human beings would be evaluated, and the stage would be the city of Brasília. The priest also saw three generations of sixty years and that in the first two, the actions of men were tested.
