Muslim prince Ali and Georgian aristocrat Nino have grown up in the Russian province of Azerbaijan. Their tragic love story sees the outbreak of the First World War and the world’s struggle for Baku’s oil. Ultimately they must choose to fight for their country’s independence or for each other.

"Dalan" is a film that tells about dead-end life situations that anyone can get into. In the film, several intertwined stories are built around the main plot line - the betrayal of a young wife to her despotic husband.

The film tells about the collision of cars outside Baku on New Year's Eve. During the heated argument between drivers and passengers who are blaming each other, the heroes are about to completely forget that there are only a few minutes left until New Year, and they have to make an urgent decision about how to spend it...

The film is based on Jafar Jabbarli's play "Aydin".

After losing his son in the Karabakh war, Elchin returns to his homeland after the victory and begins repairing the fence of his house so he will not have to see his Armenian neighbor. However, the disappearance of his enemy’s blind son changes Elchin’s plans.
