Carl Lange lives a quiet life for himself, until one day he meets police officer Osmundsen who accuses him of raping a minor girl.

Ingun is placed under house arrest in their cabin, by her wife Signe, accused of harming their mutual daughter. To withhold their social cultural status, she must continue life as normal.
