The tragic adventures of a illiterate man named "Milusos" who leaves his family & hometown to go to the big city and try to better his luck. And finds he's unprepared for what he encounters.

Three stories make up this film, each with a teacher as the protagonist of the struggle against the many deficiencies of our country´s educational system.

"La Nueva Jerusalem" is a small community of believers lead by Papá Basilio and Mamá Dorita. They're waiting for the second coming of Christ, so they've abandoned the world, searching for a new spiritual life. Mamá Dorita sees in young Tomasa the signals of the chosen one. The young girl will be the new leader in "La Nueva Jerusalem".

Family plans for a quiet weekend at the beach, but everything goes wrong.

A bank robbery leaves eight dead, six injured, and $140 million stolen. The investigation leads detectives to a thieving organization. Everyone is out for revenge, and innocent people are taken hostage.

A woman has several lovers, her husband discovers her with one of them, and both men are mistaken for robbers.

Heated tempers, frustrated desires and dashed hopes plague a diverse group of individuals whose lives cross paths in Mexico City. There is the bar-owner's son, Chava, who yearns to emigrate to America. A poor barber, Abel, is madly in love with the gorgeous Alma, who eventually becomes a high-class prostitute. Finally, there is Susanita, the desperate spinster who pursues many love affairs in hopes of finding a husband.

It narrates the phenomenon of the Mexican Revolution, satirically reflected through what happens in a town far from the places where the true Revolution was fiercely fought.

In a seedy brothel, their frustrations parade: A poet who has never published, a revolutionary who came late to history, a provocative angel, a bureaucrat with delusions of a dancer, a greedy Chinese man and his timorous wife, Monica, a prostitute with low professional esteem, a group of prostitutes of dubious sensuality and, finally, a priest with a stench of holiness and another with redeeming instincts. But a stranger with the air of a princess appears, and upsets the balance of the establishment.
