Recording of a Dutch performance of the musical Elisabeth. It portrays the life and death of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, also known as "Sisi", the wife of Emperor Franz Joseph I, from her engagement and marriage in 1854 to her murder in 1898 at the hands of the Italian anarchist Luigi Lucheni; it focuses on her growing obsession with death, as her marriage and the empire crumble around her just before the turn of the 20th century.

Deep, deep in the ocean, between the beautiful coral forest and the friendly fish lives the Little Mermaid. With her wavy hair, sea-blue eyes and beautiful voice, she is the favorite of her father, King Triton. During a heavy storm, the beautiful sea princess saves a handsome human prince from a sinking ship. She falls in love at first sight and wants nothing more than to be with him, but she lives in the sea and he on land. She goes in search of someone who can help her fulfill her wish. But, she only gets help in exchange for her voice! And what if it turns out that her voice is the only thing the prince can remember about the Little Mermaid… Will she ever be able to see the prince again?
