Georgiy Nikolayevich Daneliya (Russian: Георгий Николаевич Данелия, Georgian: გიორგი ნიკოლოზის ძე დანელია Giorgi Nikolozis dze Danelia; 25 August 1930 – 4 April 2019), also known as Giya Daneliya (Georgian: გია დანელია), was a Soviet and Russian film director and screenwriter.

Kin-dza-dza!
Two Soviet humans previously unknown to each other are transported to the planet Pluke in the Kin-dza-dza galaxy due to a chance encounter with an alien teleportation device. They must come to grips with a language barrier and Plukian social norms (not to mention the laws of space and time) if they ever hope to return to Earth.
Walking the Streets of Moscow
On a stopover in Moscow, a young writer Volodya makes friends with Kolya, who is returning home from a hard night shift. Just as Kolya is about to take a rest, he is met by his old friend Sasha, who wants help getting a deferral from military service so that he can get married.
Carnival Night 2, or 50 Years Later
The author's remake of the famous New Year's comedy is not an exact copy of the original. Festive mess in the same House of Culture, where they celebrated the New Year 50 years ago. Gentlemen of Fortune
Kindergarten teacher Evgeniy Ivanovich Troshkin is reluctantly sent undercover to take the place of an imprisoned thief who stole Alexander the Great's helmet.
