A group of friends come of age during the political turmoil that plagued Brazil in the 1960's and 70's. Together, these musicians form a band called "Os Desafinados" and become a part of the groundbreaking Brazilian musical movement called Bossa Nova

Doctor Rafidjian turns to Dora Lobo's investigation agency to locate prostitute Ana Cintia. The case is in charge of Bellini and Beatriz, his new assistant. But the doctor is brutally murdered and the detectives infiltrate the night underworld of São Paulo in search of an answer, where they meet Fatima, a mysterious prostitute who gets involved with Bellini.

A farm laborer is stunned for pain and for the jealousy when its godson assures to it that his wife is betraying with the proper brother. Both they go in revenge search, following for a tragic destination.

Felício, an old comedian, is in decadence after his partner Mandarim's suicide. When he finds out his former love Paloma has died, he leaves São Paulo and heads for the faraway State of Piauí, North of Brazil, in search of a new partner. He believes that if he manages to find him, the good times will return.

A photographer travels to São Paulo for his first solo exhibition and decides to stay in his now married, ex-girlfriend’s house.

Brazil in the early 70s. Miguel, Eloi, Osvaldo and Paolo take part in armed attacks against the military dictatorship. They pay a heavy price with torture and arrest. Today the four friends still see each other. Only Miguel is politically active. On a photograph from a political meeting in Sao Paolo he recognises the policeman who tortured them 25 years ago and who was responsible for the death of Miguel's girlfriend. The policeman has been officially dead for a few years. On one of their fishing trips together, Miguel tells his friends of his discovery. When they hunt down and confront their nemesis they come into conflict with both themselves and each other.

An unwanted guest dictates rules to an average family, who must follow them without questioning and behave in a proper and controlled way.

2013. During Operation Bidone, the Federal Police seized a truck loaded with palm heart, which contained 697 kg of cocaine. The investigation falls on the team assembled by Ivan Romano, based in Curitiba and composed by Beatriz, Júlio and Ítalo. The traffic connections lead them to the dower Alberto Youssef and later to the former Petrobras director Paulo Roberto Costa, who reveals an immense structure involving builders and the government, in order to divert public money. As the investigation progresses, the group led by Ivan is increasingly approaching some of the country's most influential politicians.
