Biography
Since 2010, Gaëlle Boucand, an artist and cineaste, has focused on making films that are a blend between contemporary art and contemporary cinema. She has directed among others GONE TO CROATAN (2010), in which she follows a community of ravers, along with the trilogy — JJA (2012), CHANGE OF SCENERY (2015) and J.A. (2020) — a kaleidoscopic portrait of a man whose life is caught up in the 20th century history. Her films have been shown throughout various international art institutions (Paris Museum of Modern Art, Kunsthalle Mannheim, MAST Bologne, Bethanien Berlin, Athens and Thessaloniki Museums of Contemporary Art…) and have won awards in FID Marseille, Hors Pistes Festival in Beaubourg and Coté Court in Pantin. In 2015, she co-founded the production company Elinka Film with 4 other directors.

An eighty-five year old man, isolated in his luxurious house, tells the story of his economic success and the reasons for his exile in Switzerland. The multiple disputes between him and his acquaintances, and his relations to the place he now inhabits shape his narrative, which unfolds in alternating from one day to another, from one place to the other of his residence.

Elsa Brès' "Notes for les Sanglières" imagines an alliance between wild boars and people grounded on concepts of boarcentrism, ecofeminism and forms of communal living. Shot in the area of the Cévennes, in the South of France, the video brings together ideas, experiments, field recordings and fiction tracks that sketch the common struggle of human and animal rights.
