A hated, desperate, up-and-coming dance music promoter, across a single frenetic night, must put on a successful gig, navigating: petty thieves stealing the music equipment, his drug-addled, unconscious headliner and a thousand pounds of urgent debt to a ruthless loan shark, risking his life.

Failing self-help author Harry Isabell's writer's block is exacerbated by meeting cult member Kal, whose only pastime is carefully crafting a circle of shoes. The two clash in their views of what causes fulfilment.
