Fathali Oveisi (Persian: فتحعلی اویسی) (11 January 1946 - 5 October 2021) is an Iranian actor and director, known for Captain Khorshid (1987), Baanoo (1999), Hamoun (1990), The Love-stricken (1992) and Cactus. His two directorial films are Sarboland and Maryam and Mitil.

The choice of the name of the film is directed by Touraj Mansouri. This film is a product of Iran and produced in 2004

Captain Khorshid is a sailor who although only having one hand, manages to sail his little boat. In his village, due to its hot climate and hard living conditions, dangerous criminals are sent into exile. They want to escape from the area, so they ask a middleman to strike a deal with Khorshid. Khorshid is asked to illegally take them out of the country with his boat. At first he is reluctant, but because of the hardships of living he accepts the job.

Tehran, 1948. A young Jewish couple, Danial and his wife Munes, decide to immigrate to the recently founded state of Israel. But their application is rejected on the ground of the documents against Danial's uncle, Yaghub, how is suspected of betrayal. A Zionist agent, named Yezghel, finds out Yaghub's home and stabs him.
