E’zzat Hassan al-A’laly Hassan was born in the “Bab al-Sha’riyah” district of Cairo. He received his bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Theater Studies in 1960. E’zzat is married and has a son named Mahmoud who works as a dentist. He also has a daughter named Ragaa. Ragaa has a degree in law and is married. In his early stages, art was something of a dream for E’zzat as he had four sisters for whom he was responsible seeing as his father had passed away. He thereafter made his way into art and performed in several TV series an example of which is “A’bd Allah al-Nadeem”. Amongst the stage productions in which E’zzat has assumed leading roles are “Dimaa a’la Malabis al-Sahra” (“Blood on the Evening Gown”) and “Ahlan ya Bakwat”. E’zzat has also written several plays amongst which are “Thawrat al-Madina” (“The City’s Revolt”) and “Al-Touffan” (“The Flood”). E’zzat al-A’laly has received numerous awards and has also performed in Algerian and Lebanese cinema. He is considered a unique acting talent who can give lively depictions of any character he is asked to portray, no matter how diverse. His natural talents and build have helped him in his career. E’zzat can be observed in excellent form in “al-Ard” (“The Earth”), “al-Ikhtiyar” (“The Choice”), “al-Muwattin al-Masry” (“The Egyptian Citizen”) and “el-Sekka Matt” (“El-Sekka is Dead”).

Set in one of Cairo's densely-populated neighborhoods, Sayyida Zeinab, the film showcases beautiful scenes from city life.

The film describes the political and economical corruption in 70s’ Egypt, through the relationship between a powerful man and his wife’s ex-fiance.

Teacher Kamal controls the market through bribery, but he loves Samah, the daughter of the teacher who raised him and cared for him. Meanwhile, Kamal robs him and burns his stores, which leads to his death. At the same time, Samah refuses to marry Kamal, especially since she is waiting for Sayed to return, who returns to disown her and seeks to marry Kamal's wealthy daughter. Thus, Samah decides to take revenge on everyone alone.

After his wife's death, Safwat lives on his late wife's wealth, and also seeks to seize his daughter Amira's share of the inheritance. The daughter flees, seeking refuge with her friend Nahid and her brother, and the brother is framed for embezzlement and goes to prison. Safwat tries to impose his control over the daughter, and Ahmed, in return, tries to escape in order to prove his innocence and save Amira from Safwat's hands.

Aida works at Jalal Wahdan's investment company. Jalal asks her to help him return the savings of the depositors he has defrauded, from a bank in Switzerland that deals with voice prints. She tells Sami, her friend Rawya's husband, about this. Sami undergoes surgery to change his vocal cords, making his voice match Jalal's.


Ahmed is a boxing instructor at the university. He gets into a fight in defense of his father and goes to prison, where he becomes friends with Abbas. Abbas comes out of prison and finds Ahmed's beloved Souad, who escaped from her father's house, he keeps her safe till Ahmed gets out of prison.

Moufida tries to prove that her sister's husband, Sabri, killed her only sister, Hind. She marries Sabri and resorts to a famous lawyer who loved her sister. But my patience is dying and all suspicions swirl around her.

Hamdy and Fathy were partners in a gang. Fathy is sentenced to prison, while Hamdy becomes a businessman, gets married and settles down, until Fathy is released from prison and asks him to resume their criminal activity.

Hatim is a businessman working in the field of contracting and building housing. He finds himself accused in a public opinion case, which is the collapse of the buildings he built. He discovers that his men who help him did this without him noticing. A confrontation occurs with his brother, and he kills his brother.
