A well-known financier and his bankrupt friend, who plan to rob a corrupt politician-bribe, a policeman who loves to fatten up demonstrators, and two ladies of lighter disposition are locked up in a boarding house for hours at a time by a sanitation official for a whole 10 days - a forced quarantine.

Would-be bride and groom Weronika and Łukasz decide to give themselves a second chance and invite their family to the wedding and reception in a seaside town. Among the invited guests are Wanda and Tadeusz – with their dog, Mirelka, and also a divorcee, Małgorzata, accompanied by her much younger partner, Jan , and her mother. The sea, drinks, and nude sunbathers make the family members on both sides more open and ready to shed their masks.

The historical events of September 1939 are used as a canvass for the plot and the emotional structure of the script. Its composition centers around the three stages of the defense of Warsaw, accompanied by the rhythm of the Polish Radio.

Roman Cudakowski, for his friends Cudak, plays in a band at weddings and city parties. During the occupation, the musician did not do well. Entrances to the premises for Germans are an opportunity to earn money. However, they cannot imagine themselves orchestras without a violinist. Cudak takes the gifted Szymon Akerman out of the ghetto to concerts, with whom he did not agree before the war. In the new reality, they both need each other: Cudak can earn money by playing with Akerman, has a chance to survive. One day, Roman decides to permanently take the violinist and his family from the ghetto and hide them, risking his life, in his home.

A story about the tragic fate of a Jewish political activist who committed suicide on 12th May 1943 in London. What he did was supposed to be a sign of protest against the world’s passive attitude towards the tragedy of Holocaust. The story is told from the point of view of a young British journalist who, as most of the people living in the West back then, was unaware of the extent of the crime taking place in the east of Europe at that time.

During the production of the play based on Aristophanes’ „Birds” the three artist friends face the painful truth about themselves. Someone regrets abandoning someone. Someone seduces the director of the play, because they believe in polyamory. Somebody thinks that the war has never ended and one must never surrender. Someone else claims that it’s all about how you fall and you should know how to drop. And in the meantime, somebody decides to express an unusual declaration of love.

Olek returns to Poland after a few years. He must be in quarantine, but his family refuses to let him in. He has nowhere to go, so he sits in the staircase. Władzio wants to walk his dog, which is about to blow up, but he cannot pass. He has to keep two meter distance and Olek doesn’t even have a mask. Arguing with his former neighbor, Olek confronts his lost love, learns to close this relationship and is ready to face the unknown.

Following the death of his mother in '80s Poland, 12-year-old Wojciech has taken the brunt of his stressed father's frustrations with him; the boy frequently gets punished via belt. Wojciech's father occasionally tries to, instead, bond with him, but soon snaps back to his short-fused habits. Apart from Wojciech's friend Bartek, no one does anything to help. Jump to present day, Wojciech is a furrow-browed journalist who spends most of his spare time spelunking alone. Just like his father, he has serious anger management issues. Fellow caver Tania feels inexplicably attracted to him, but the love of a good woman may not be enough.
