Rosa is in her late 30s, a child of the 1970s with divorced parents. She lives with her own family in São Paulo. Overwhelmed by an eruption of individual passions, lies and the expectations of three generations, she tries to discover who she really is.
It's more dificult to love than to be bewitched. The film has as it's central theme the loving separation, but the consequences of this separation are attributed to occult forces that throwing the protagonist in the world of Afro-Brazilian mystical religions.
The film gives the greatest geniuses of Samba a voice, gathering them in their day-to-day lives and in their genuine "pagode de terreiro" (jam sessions) for the delight of the musicians themselves. Whether by showing their life stories or revealing how they live today, the documentary weaves a patchwork of the past, present and future of Samba.
