Misunderstood is a powerful but cute queer short film that explores a lovers heartfelt journey to be seen as more than just 'special friends' in the eyes of an immigrant father.

A young man meticulously filters through the footage of his unfinished short film, after the abrupt death of the woman he cast in it. Under the obsession of this lost love, he spirals into an absurd and pathetic game of revision, alienating his sister in the process; who is attempting to make sense of her own journey through all this.
