Mr. Takano, a company employee, announces plans to take an early retirement so he can return to his home town and spend his days fishing. Su-san and Hama-chan envy his decision, and Hama-chan conspires to visit Takano, even though he has no vacation time left.

After being sexually harassed by the Boss' daughter, Kousuke is demoted for an innocent crime. Kousuke, riding his motorcycle north, meets the runaway Ranko, and is forced to take her with him. Ranko, the adopted daughter of the Harada gang boss, was to be forced to marry Harada on her 16th birthday.

Hiroshi Tanaka sports an intense perm which looks like the afro hairstyle favored by some African-Americans back in the 1970's. He doesn't get his hair done at a hair shop, he was actually born with his hair like that. For freedom, Hiroshi moves to Tokyo. He works hard there and, even though he turns 24, he still doesn't have a girlfriend.
