Merel is a young girl with a lot of talent. She excels at school, is good on the springboard and is careful too. Her severely handicapped brother Kasper gets a lot of attention. Merel also has talent for singing. It is no surprise that she is asked for the school musical. But maybe Merel is a bit too convinced of herself. When people perform solos, she likes to sing along loudly. This doesn't fall on good ground though. People start ignoring her and she is getting bullied. All of the sudden Merel's life isn't that easy anymore, it will be hard to keep herself together.

Divided into chapters, the film first chronicles Hemel's many sexual conquests, but then takes on a different tone as it explores her complicated relationship with her father, Gijs. A dapper auctioneer, Gijs has dated a series of younger women since Hemel's mother's death. But when Gijs starts seeing the charming Sophie, for the first time Hemel feels that her special relationship with her father is threatened...

What at first appears to be a surprise family holiday turns into a kidnapping and ends in a nightmare, when Simone discovers her father is on the run from serious problems. As she slowly realises that he is losing his mind and on the verge of doing awful harm, she decides to protect her family. Loosely based on a family drama in the Netherlands.

In the middle of night Luna and Evy are dumped at a gas station along the busy freeway. Feeling miserable and cold the two girls decide to get back home, but when Luna comes up with the plan to cross the hazardous freeway the two girls lose track of each other.

Over the past year, the atmosphere at Mariska's home has changed dramatically. Her parents are no longer able to communicate, so Mariska (13) escapes from this stifling environment. On the beach, she meets Christiaan, a kite surfer, who gives Mariska a sense of freedom that she increasingly succumbs to. Mariska's parents' relationship is under great strain because of her behavior, but even when her father leaves them, she continues to fight to bring about change within the family.
