In mid-1960s Perama, a popular singer plans to marry a sweet woman, not because he loves her, but because he hates her boyfriend who truly loves her.

Petros (Georgos Kambanellis), son of the factory owner Tsamis (Lavrentis Dianellos), is in love with his father's worker Martha (Martha Vourtsi). However, before they can get married, Tsamis' intrigues and scheming lead the relationship to a shipwreck and Petros marries the rich woman approved by his family.
